Privacy Policy

Todai is a personalized morning brief built for you. We try to collect as little information as possible. We don't sell your data. We don't run third-party ad trackers. Most of what shapes your experience lives on your device.

This page explains what we collect, why, and what your choices are. If anything here is unclear, email hello@todai.appand we'll explain in plain English.

Todai ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Todai mobile application and the website at todai.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our products.

Account info. When you sign in (Apple, Google, or email), we receive your name and email address from the sign-in provider. We use this to create your Todai account and personalize your brief.

Pulses you create. The prompts and topics you set up are saved so we can generate your daily memos. These are private to you unless you choose to mark a pulse as public.

Profile info. Your display name, handle, bio, and avatar color are visible to other Todai users when they view your profile or see content you share publicly.

Content you post.Memos you share to the public feed, comments, replies, and reactions are visible to other users. Don't share anything publicly that you wouldn't want public.

Voice input. If you use voice transcription, audio is processed to convert speech to text and is not stored after the transcription completes.

Usage signals. Which memos you read, what you like / save, which bullets you ↑↓ — we use these signals to make your future memos sharper and more relevant to you. This data lives primarily on your device.

Device info. Standard mobile information your device shares with apps (operating system, app version, language). We use this to keep the app working correctly and diagnose problems.

Crash and error logs. If the app crashes or hits an error, we may receive a diagnostic report so we can fix the underlying bug.

• We don't sell your personal information to anyone.
• We don't embed third-party advertising trackers.
• We don't access your contacts, photos, or files unless you give explicit permission for a feature that needs them.
• We don't track your location.

Your pulse prompts and refinements are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your memos. Anthropic processes prompts to produce a response and may retain inputs and outputs in line with their policies. We do not send your account identifiers along with prompts — only the text needed to generate your memo.

For audio narration, memo text is sent to ElevenLabs to be converted to speech. See ElevenLabs' privacy policy for their handling.

We use a small number of trusted vendors to operate Todai:

• Anthropic — generates memo content from your prompts.
• Vercel — hosts our backend and APIs.
• Supabase — stores account, pulse, and social data.
• Apple / Google — handle sign-in and push notification delivery.
• ElevenLabs — generates audio narration on request.

Each provider only receives the minimum information needed to do its job.

Edit or delete pulses. You can rename, delete, or pause any pulse from the Pulse tab.

Edit your profile. Update your name, handle, bio, and avatar from the User tab.

Delete your account. Email hello@todai.appand we'll delete your account and all associated data within 30 days. Public content (posts, comments) may persist briefly while caches clear.

Notifications. Manage notification preferences from the User tab or your device settings.

We keep your data while your account is active. After deletion, we remove personal data within 30 days, except where we're required by law to keep it longer (for example, transaction records).

Todai is not intended for use by anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact hello@todai.appand we'll remove it.

Todai is operated from the United States. If you use Todai from another country, you understand that your information may be processed in the US.

We may update this policy. If changes are material, we'll notify you in the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
